Tonight, the South Main Association is hosting a happy hour. The event begins at 5:30 PM at Grawemeyer’s.
This is just a chance to get together and meet some of your neighbors (i.e., there is no speaker or set agenda). You do not need to be a member of SMA to enjoy the camaraderie and happy hour specials, which include $5 German drafts, $4 house wines, $4 well drinks and 1/2 price appetizers.
The Downtown Candle Company, Chef John Ferraro, and Pinnacle IMP are presenting The Art of Wine. The event will be held on Sunday, March 9th at 7 PM. The cost is $35 per person.
Here’s information from their website about the event:
The goal of this tasting is to allow guests to systematically work their way through these beloved varietals and experience their nuances for themselves. Often, people will think a “white wine” is a white wine and a “red” is simply a red wine, not much to it and certainly the taste differences must be minimal after you get over the color choice. This tasting will offer new appreciation for both white wines and red wine varietals, and is likely one of the more “educational” tastings that could be offered.
